I started going to races with George Idell. Started to learn what was needed to be involved with racing.

Purchased my own car, a Street Stock and ran East Windsor for 2 years. Learned more about what was needed. Started learning maintenance and setups.

Helped Lee Grover for a couple of years. Learned more about setups and maintenance and what it felt like to win. Lee had a several wins. 

Then I started helping his cousin Roger Grover. Over the next 10 years, we became real close friends. With him I learned how important a complete maintenance schedule was and became quite good at setting up the car and making changes at the track. 

Roger and I spent a season traveling with Danny Sammons truck team. We maintained the vehicle between races and at the track.  

Along with Roger, I started helping Mark Bitner.  Along with maintaining the car during the week and at the track,  we started getting requests to set up other cars.

Finally after buying a house (with a garage) it was time to drive again. I purchase a used chassis and we rebuilt it to run the SuperStock class at New Egypt and East Windsor.

Roger's Modifieds have been one of the most respected rides in this area. His cars have finished in the top 10 and had multiple wins at East Windsor, Flemington (when it was dirt) and New Egypt.
